American Sign Language (ASL)

ASL-101  INTRODUCTORY ASL I  (3 Credits)  
This introductory course provides a comprehensive foundation in American Sign Language (ASL), the primary language of the Deaf community in the United States. Students will develop essential receptive and expressive skills, including basic vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure. Through engaging activities and interactive exercises, students will gain proficiency in everyday ASL conversations and interactions.
Prerequisite: None  
ASL-102  INTRODUCTORY ASL II  (3 Credits)  
Building upon the foundation established in ASL 101, this course further enhances ASL proficiency through a focus on more complex vocabulary, grammar structures, and conversational skills. Students will explore ASL in real-world contexts, expanding their ability to express thoughts, ideas, and narratives in a fluent and natural manner.
