AAI-110 AI AND THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE (2 Credits)
This course introduces students to the world of artificial intelligence and explores how it shapes, and is shaped by, human experience. Students survey the history, foundations, and major applications of AI, including machine learning, natural language processing, and creative generation. Emphasis is placed on understanding human interaction with AI from a biblically informed perspective, examining how these technologies influence communication, creativity, decision-making, and cultural life. Through hands-on engagement with AI tools and guided ethical reflection, students develop AI literacy, gaining the ability to use and evaluate AI responsibly in ways that promote human dignity and flourishing.

AAI-210 COMM WITH MACHINES: THE ART OF AI PROMPTING (3 Credits)
This course equips students with practical skills for interacting effectively with artificial intelligence systems, with a focus on prompt design, iterative refinement, and human-AI collaboration. Students explore how language, structure, and context shape AI outputs and examine real-world applications in communication, problem-solving, and creative work. Attention is given to understanding human communication with AI from a biblically informed perspective, considering how discernment, integrity, and the value of the human person guide responsible use. Through hands-on practice with a variety of AI tools, students learn to design clear, purposeful prompts and to evaluate AI-generated responses with wisdom and accountability.
